Police and emergency services searching for a missing boatie in Tikitiki, Gisborne have today located a body about nine kilometres from where the boat overturned yesterday afternoon.
The boat overturned three kilometres south of the Awatere River mouth.
The manâs body was located around midday, and his death will be referred to the Coroner.

Emergency services are attending a serious crash on Wairere Drive, Hamilton.
Police were alerted to the two-vehicle crash, which occurred between Hukanui Road and Resolution Drive, at around 3:05pm.
Three people are being transported to hospital, one with serious injuries and two with moderate injuries.
The road is expected to be blocked between Hukanui Road and Resolution Drive for at least an hour, and motorists are advised to expect delays.

Police are attending a serious crash on Clevedon Road, Papakura and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
The crash was reported at 9.30pm and the Serious Crash Unit is attending.
Initial indications are that one person has received critical injuries, two people have serious injuries and one person has moderate injuries.
Traffic management is in place at the scene while enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

A joint Police and Customs operation has led to the arrest of two people for importing cocaine.
In late March, Customs intercepted a package at the International Mail Centre in Auckland that was found to contain up to 1.5kg of liquid cocaine.
Police on Wednesday executed a search warrant at a Christchurch address where cocaine and a significant amount of cash was located.
A 76-year-old man was arrested and charged with importing a Class A controlled drug and possession of cocaine for supply.
He was remanded in custody to reappear in Christchurch District Court on Thursday 15 April.
