VACCINATION centres in all areas of Bolton are set to be in place by January 11 and 2,000 people have now had their first injections as the massive drive to protect the population from covid accelerates. An update from health leaders in the borough revealed that during the first 10 days of the vaccination programme, 2,000 mainly over-80s have been injected with their first dose at centres in Tonge Moor and Lever Chambers in the town centre. Medics will also be working over the holiday period and are planning to visit one care home in Bolton next week, to vaccinate all residents and staff.
