Child Unhurt After Bullet Strikes Crib: Police

A Kennebecasis Regional Police Force cruiser. (Staff photo) Police say a 22-year-old man is facing charges after a bullet struck the crib of a sleeping baby in Rothesay over the weekend. The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force said officers responded to an apartment building on Sierra Avenue on Saturday. Insp. Anika Becker said after hearing the sound of a gunshot, a resident found a bullet had come through the floor of his child’s bedroom and struck a crib. Becker said a 20-month-old child sleeping in the crib at the time was not hurt, but the crib and room were damaged.

Suspicious Items Shut Down Quispamsis Trail: Police

Kennebecasis Regional Police Force officers were called to the trail off Queensbury Drive on Saturday evening. “After a thorough investigation, it was determined that there was no threat to public safety,” the force said in a social media post on Monday.
