A Mountain Roast will be available for purchase online, at Estas Manos popup locations, and at retailers around Las Cruces beginning Dec. 22. A special product launch will take place the same day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Spirit Winds in Las Cruces.
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State University and Dry Point Distillers have launched Pistol Pete’s Six-Shooter, the first collegiate-licensed whiskey in the country. The whiskey will be available for purchase beginning Nov. 12 in and around Las Cruces. A portion of the proceeds will go to support NMSU’s more than 400 student-athletes.
“We’re so excited for this opportunity to work with New Mexico State University,” said Chris Schaefer, owner of Dry Point Distillers and a graduate of NMSU. “Craft distilling is an emerging industry in our state, and our business is still relatively new on the scene. This collaboration will help put us in front of a lot of new customers.”
Lescombes launches NMSU Pistol Pete s Crimson Legacy Wine

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State University and New Mexico-based Lescombes Winery announced the creation and launch of Pistol Pete’s Crimson Legacy, one of less than 10 collegiate-licensed wines in the country. The Cabernet Sauvignon will be available at all Lescombes locations beginning today, with additional, statewide distribution over the coming weeks.
“This is an exciting day for Aggie alumni and wine lovers alike,” said NMSU Chancellor Dan Arvizu. “For a long time, NMSU has had strong ties with our friends at Lescombes Winery. We’re proud to be able to work with them in the launch of this outstanding wine.”
