Carroll hung tough for the 1
st half but for the second time this season Ballard was able to pull away in the 2
nd half. Kennedy Lein helped spark the Tigers early as Carroll got up 5-2 and 6-4. Ballard grabbed their first lead at 8-6 and didn’t trail again but Carroll only trailed 14-11 after the 1
st quarter. Carroll pulled within 17-13 early in the 2
nd quarter and the lead remained around 6 points until Ballard scored just before half to take a 21-13 lead into the locker room. The Tigers struggled coming out in the 3
rd quarter and Ballard took advantage outscoring them 22-9 in the quarter to lead by 21 heading to the 4
Carroll held on Tuesday after nearly giving up a 19 point lead in the final quarter. The Tigers dominated the first 24 minutes and led 60-43 heading into the final stanza. Kaleb Booth and Nick Macke were shooting the three really well combining for 8 in the game. The Tigers defense had held Jevin Sullivan to 17 points through 3 quarters. He scored more than that in the 4
th quarter. Sullivan went off for 27 points in the 4
th, finishing with 44 points. The Comets scored 33 points in the 4
th after scoring 43 in the first three quarters. A Nick Macke assist to Treyton Goins for a layup stemmed the tide briefly for Carroll. The Tigers saw a 62-43 lead cut to 70-68 before the Goins layup. Carroll built the lead back to 76-68 before the Comets charged again. Nick Macke and Colby Christensen hit enough free throws down the stretch to seal the deal.
Carroll received a good defensive effort on the road and used a pair of 3’s in the 2
nd quarter to improve to 6-5 overall and 4-5 in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers have won 3 straight to start the 2
nd half of the season. Gabi Hammer and Laura Sweeney knocked down some big 3’s in the 2
nd quarter as Carroll rallied from down 3 at the end of the 1
st quarter to take the lead for good at 23-20 at half.
Ella Collison led the way in the win with 11 points.

The Carroll Tigers continued their dominant ways by adding another victory to their undefeated season, beating Boone on Tuesday night. Right out of the gate, the Tigers dominated the Toreadors and never gave up the lead. The Tigers would escape the first quarter scoring 20 points and left Boone with only seven points. In the second quarter, it was much of the same dominant basketball from the top ranked team in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers left no room for the Toreadors to score leaving them with six points as they would go on to score 14 before the halftime. The lopsided score was in favor of Carroll by a score of 34-13.
The Knights played well on the road in the 1
st half as they built a lead at the halftime. Brooklyn Gifford had another great shooting night hitting 6-3’s in the game helping Kuemper lead 17-6 after the 1
st quarter. Things continued to go well in the 2
nd quarter and Kuemper went into the haltime up by 6. They held onto the lead into the 4
th quarter before a few late turnovers allowed St Albert to take the lead and hold onto it late. The Knights did have a shot to win or tie it late but it didn’t fall.
