UN court pressed to probe Israel strike on media office

Jerusalem Brutality

Jerusalem Brutality Israel says it is investigating forced evictions Israel, it would seem, is counting on getting away with murder and ethnic cleansing in perpetuity. The state’s authorities said they were investigating the death of Said Yousef Muhammad Odeh, a Palestinian boy who was shot in the back by Israeli soldiers earlier this week. The supposed probe cannot be taken seriously, however, given Israel’s abysmal track record for investigating the deaths of Palestinians by its forces. Israeli forces are held accountable for violations against Palestinian children extremely rarely. According to @YeshDin, the chances that a complaint leads to an indictment of an Israeli soldier for violence, including killing, or other harm is 0.7%. https://t.co/2ChPU9OlxT Defense for Children (@DCIPalestine) May 6, 2021

Palestinian demonstrators stand in front of a Jewish settlement during a protest, in Kafr Qaddum in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on November 13, 2020. Reuters JERUSALEM: An international rights watchdog accused Israel on Tuesday of pursuing policies of apartheid and persecution against Palestinians and against its own Arab minority that amount to crimes against humanity. New York-based Human Rights Watch published a 213-page report which, it said, was not aimed at comparing Israel with apartheid-era South Africa but rather at assessing “whether specific acts and policies” constitute apartheid as defined under international law. Israel’s foreign ministry rejected the claims as “both preposterous and false” and accused HRW of harbouring an “anti-Israeli agenda,” saying the group had sought “for years to promote boycotts against Israel”. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas welcomed the report.
