On 7 April 2021, we kicked off a training course for the staff of the Audio-visual Council of the Republic of Moldova on monitoring and sanctioning hate speech. The training will include 4 online session over April 2021, with the following objectives:
Familiarising participants with key human rights concepts, including equality, non-discrimination and the links to hate speech
Familiarising participants with relevant case-law on hate speech, including from the European Court of Human Rights

In a report published today, the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) urges Denmark to improve the identification and protection of victims of trafficking, and to ensure that human trafficking offences are investigated, prosecuted and lead to effective, proportionate and dissuasive sanctions.
This third report on Denmark’s implementation of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, focuses on access to justice and effective remedies for victims of trafficking in human beings. It also assesses developments since the publication of GRETA´s second evaluation report in 2016.

As part of the development of the study on hate speech in Morocco, the Council of Europe is organizing, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Youth Forum, three discussion workshops with target groups, namely young professionals from Moroccan media, Moroccan students and sub-Saharan students, respectively on Saturday 13, Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 March 2021 in Rabat.
These discussion workshops will allow the experts to finalize the study in question by taking into account the recommendations that will emerge from these various discussion workshops.
