MEDFORD, MA School Committee member Jenny Graham announced her campaign for re-election Tuesday. Graham is the parent of two students in the Medford Public Schools and the owner of a Medford-based small business.

My first term on the School Committee has been both challenging and rewarding. Almost immediately, we were faced with the onset of a global pandemic. The pandemic upended everything we all knew about public education and challenged our district in ways we may have never anticipated.

"What we will likely see is a longer-term supply chain shift. We have already started to see the shift of high-labor work from China to other countries such as Vietnam, India, and Mexico. Five candidates are sharing their final thoughts ahead of this weekendâs 2021 South Bethany Town Council election. Voting will be in-person at South Bethany Town Hall on Saturday, May 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
For the three council seats, voters will choose between five candidates: Carolyn Bell, Edith âEdieâ Dondero, Richard âDickâ Oliver, William âTimâ Shaw and Maureen âMoâ Webster. The elected candidates will be sworn to two-year terms in early June.
Absentee voting was permitted. Voter registration is not required beforehand. Eligible voters must be a U.S. citizen and be either: a town resident for at least 30 days beforehand; a freeholder who holds property through a deed or trust at least 90 consecutive days before the election; or the spouse of a freeholder, whether their name is on the deed or not.
