KNOXVILLE, Tenn. It s that time of the year again girl scout cookie season.
Troops are getting creative with how they sell cookies this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many will still sell boxes outside businesses, but some are taking a different approach such as with drive-thru cookies booths. Starting Friday, people will also be able to buy cookies through GrubHub, an online food delivery service.

TULSA, Okla. â Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma is kicking cookie sales with a new and safe ways to purchase this year.
The eight-week cookie sale runs Jan. 23 through March 21 and due to the pandemic now includes ways to sell or purchase cookies that keeps the scouts, parents, and customers safe and healthy.
âOur troops look forward to our cookie sale each year and learn so many life skills through this experience,â said Celeste Franklin, Director of Product Programs for Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma. âThey learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics so wanted to do all we could do to make the sale happen safely.â
