More people may choose to get vaccinated if there are incentives Lincoln Graves, KATU Staff
As the number of vaccinations ticks upward in Oregon and the rest of the country, some officials are turning to incentives to convince those who are otherwise hesitant to get the vaccine.
In West Virginia, state officials are giving $100 savings bonds to individuals under 35 years old who choose to get a vaccine.
Psychologists say there are other ways to incentivize people to get vaccinated. Think about travel for instance, says Dr. Robin Henderson, director of behavioral health at Providence Health & Services in Oregon. You want to go to a foreign country, you have to go load up with a ton of vaccines.
