OR Health Authority Reported 888 New Cases of COVID-19 and 2 More Deaths on Wednesday The Oregon Health Authority reported 888 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday as well as two more fatalities from the disease. According to OHA, the statewide number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic increased to 182,916 and the statewide death toll climbed to 2,490. OHA reported 58 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday in Jackson County, where the total rose to 10,388. Jackson County also recorded its 130th fatality a 78-year-old man who died April 27th at Providence Medford Medical Center. The state reported 22 new cases of the virus here in Josephine County for a total of 3,189. Josephine County Public Health reported its 67th fatality this morning a 93-year-old woman who died April 23rd at her home. There were 8 new cases in Douglas County for a total of 3,121.
