Coronavirus in Oregon: State reports 865 new cases, 6 more deaths Updated Dec 28, 2020; Facebook Share The Oregon Health Authority on Monday reported 865 new confirmed or presumptive coronavirus cases and six more deaths. The numbers represent a continuing trend of fewer reported cases and fatalities over the last several days, but the state’s data often lags during weekends and around holidays so may not be reflective of the actual state of the pandemic in Oregon. Hospitalizations increased with 23 more people requiring hospital care for the virus on Monday than the previous day. The number of patients in intensive care units grew by eight over the same period.
