New International Criminal Court Prosecutor sworn in BRUSSELS, June 16 (KUNA) - Britain s Karim Asad Ahmad Khan formally took office Wednesday as the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) during a ceremony held at the Seat of the Court in The Hague, The Netherlands. According to an ICC press release, Khan took a public oath of office declaring: I solemnly undertake that I will perform my duties and exercise my powers as Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court honorably, faithfully, impartially and conscientiously and that I will respect the confidentiality of investigations and prosecutions . Khan, a national of the UK, was elected as ICC Prosecutor in February 2021, for a nine-year term.
