Anthony Watson, 22, is said to have taken the teenager’s phone and keys after locking her in her flat last month. Prosecutor Kate Prince told Swindon magistrates on Monday it was claimed Watson had assaulted the woman, accused her of being unfaithful, made repeated demands to see her phone and verbally abused her. Police were called to the woman’s flat on April 29 after a passing youth allegedly saw her call for help from a window.

Darren Moore threw coins and grabbed a face mask from behind the till after the spat on August 27, 2020, at the service station in Dorcan Way. Prosecutor Kate Prince told Swindon Magistrates’ Court the 30-year-old then tried to push the mask through the night pay draw. District Judge Joanna Dickens found Moore, of Ferndale Road, guilty in his absence of contravening a direction to wear a face covering within, or leave, a relevant place.

By Advertiser Reporter Arsonist doing time for torching police cars threw blood at prison officer A CONVICTED arsonist threw a cup of his own blood at a prison guard, a court heard. Nicholas Lowe, 57, was Prosecutor Kate Prince told Swindon Magistrates’ Court that the prison officer had knocked at the door of Lowe’s cell on June 24 to tell him he would be escorted down to get his lunch. He returned to the cell and, without warning, Lowe threw a bowl of liquid at him. The officer immediately realised that it was blood. Ms Prince told the justices: “He felt disgusted and appalled and physically sick by his behaviour. He states he was trying to help Mr Lowe.”
