Health Secretary Matt Hancock has announced a £600 million cash injection for hospitals across England to tackle critical maintenance work. Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust will put the money towards much needed upgrades to infrastructure including the theatre roof, static mammography, fire safety, colposcopy refurbishment, ward refurbishment and a mortuary upgrade. A MAN was airlifted to hospital in Brisbane in a serious but stable condition after crashing into a tree near Ipswich last night.
Paramedics, including critical care and the High Acuity Response Unit rushed to the scene of the crash at Fairneyview Fernvale Rd and Honeywood Dr in Fernvale about 9.15pm on Wednesday.
The man was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital with a suspected significant spinal injury.
Less than an hour earlier, a woman was taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition after a single-vehicle crash on Forest Hill Fernvale Rd and Lindemans Rd at Lowood.

Zaine Alan Pringle, 28, from Upper Mount Gravatt, is seeking $592,801 in damages in the District Court claiming surgical errors at the hospital meant he had to have three additional surgeries and has been left with scarring and in pain. Mr Pringle, who has modelled for ten years and had a contract with clothing retailer City Beach, hurt his left ring finger while playing AFL in 2017, his claim states.
