~ Airport COO steps in and save the day with extra firefighters.~
AIRPORT: Firefighters at the Princess Juliana International Airport are currently on sickout on Sunday morning causing a category to drop as there are not sufficient firefighters on duty. Due to this action, certain categories of aircraft cannot land either take off this morning.
SMN News learned that the firefighters decided to take action because they were not paid their 100% bonus payment. According to information received management of PJIAE offered to pay its firefighters 35% of their bonus in a meeting held last week but the proposal was rejected.

PJIAE) Terminal Reconstruction.
André Wright, Executive Vice President of Standard International Group, made the announcement.
On behalf of St. Maarten and Princess Juliana International Airport, Mr. Wright advised on the $50M loan from The European Investment Bank (EIB) and $50M grant from The World Bank, for a total of $100M in investment capital combined with $22M from the Government of St. Maarten in the form of liquidity support. Mr. Wright also ensured the project received a maximum insurance claim payout of $71M by introducing Willis Towers Watson to serve as insurance advisory services provider.
