Prince Albert police arrest homicide suspect

(file photo/paNOW) The Prince Albert Police Service has confirmed that a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested. Joseph Curtis Madden, 26, was arrested at a residence in the 1300 Block of Main Street in Saskatoon on Friday evening. Madden is facing a charge of second degree murder in the death earlier this month of Madison Rene Bird-Simaganis. The Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and the Prince Albert Police Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) partnered on this investigation. In their media release Saturday night, the Prince Albert Police Service acknowledged and thanked their agency partners for their significant efforts assisting with the file, including the Saskatoon Police Service and the Saskatoon detachment of the RCMP.
