The day is also marked to raise awareness of the importance of preserving our heritage from any dangers threatening its existence, due to the high cultural value of the world heritage which tells the path of humanity through history. Saudi Heritage Commission participates in this pivotal role in various cities and regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through existing and completed projects that serve the tangible and intangible national heritage.

As part of the agreement, the Saudi government will work in collaboration with relevant organizations and in coordination with the Yemeni government and the local authority to support and preserve Yemeni heritage and monuments. This is in addition to rehabilitating and developing Yemeni capabilities in the cultural field to advance the cultural, economic, and social movements in Yemen.

Protection of rights of persons with disabilities a top priority, says HRC December 24, 2020 Saudi Gazette report RIYADH Saudi Arabia’s Human Rights Commission (HRC) said on Wednesday that people with disabilities are on the top of its priorities and it continues to take a number of measures, including holding training and awareness programs, to ensure the protection of human rights, especially the most vulnerable groups. The commission also said it is preparing a training program that will be launched next month to train specialists who can identify sexual harassment of persons with disabilities, especially children. The training program aims to enhance the capabilities of specialists and will shed light on the phenomenon of sexual harassment of persons with disabilities and research new mechanisms to confront and address it.
