The Prince William Health District will step in to vaccinate teachers, sources tell PLN.
The health district will receive 3,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine to give to teachers in Prince William County and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
Novant / UVA Health System will also provide an additional 2,400 doses at the Unity Reed clinic. That’s on top of the 2,700 amounts it provided teachers last weekend.
The newly announced vaccination clinic will be held his weekend at Unity Reed High School (formerly Stonewall Jackson High School) outside Manassas. A formal announcement on the new clinic is expected at tonight’s Prince William County School Board meeting starting at 6 p.m.
Medical experts warn of false sense of security after negative coronavirus tests
COVID-19 testing sites are typically busy just before a major holiday. However, some medical experts worry the test results may not give the full picture. Author: Nicole DiAntonio (WUSA) Updated: 6:07 AM EST December 10, 2020
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. You may be planning to get a coronavirus test before the holidays, but be aware that the results may not give you the whole picture.
Some medical experts worry the test results are not definite and could give a false sense of security.
“We don’t recommend traveling, for the same reason we didn’t over Thanksgiving. We don’t relish seeing an increase in the number of cases,” said Dr. Alison Ansher with the Prince William Health Department.
