BMC appeals to citizens to book slots for pruning trees before monsoon

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has said that ahead of monsoon, citizen s can obtain permission online for pruning of trees within the premises of their housing societies.
As per the rules of the civic body, the trees collapsed within the premises of a private property is to be removed by the owners or occupants of the property. Meanwhile, those in public places are removed by the garden department of the BMC. However, residents may approach the civic body and be able to do so in exchange of a nominal charge.
