Maharashtra floods: 34 NDRF teams engaged in rescue ops; BMC sends two teams to Raigad, Kolhapur ANI | Updated: Jul 25, 2021 08:55 IST
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 25 (ANI): As heavy rains lashed many parts of Maharashtra and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for five districts, two teams of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) have left for Raigad and Kolhapur.
Meanwhile, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) deployed 8 more teams in Maharashtra in the flood-affected areas. Now a total of 34 teams have been deployed for rescue and relief work at various places.
Brihanmumbai Mahanagarpalika, which is continuously providing various civic services to the citizens of the Brihanmumbai Mahanagarpalika area, is also working promptly outside its area in case of emergency.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) riding high on its Covid success story says that the model implemented by the civic body for Covid-19 control will now be implemented by the Delhi government as well.
“In addition to preventing the contagious disease of ‘Covid-19 , BMC is working tirelessly to provide more effective medical treatment to the affected people. Despite the other challenges in this regard, including population density, the work done by the BMC is being positively acknowledged from time to time at the state, national and global levels.” said a BMC official
