Bree village was buzzing with excitement recently for the turning on of the Christmas lights.
Bree Community Development Group recently received a grant of €5,000 from Wexford County Council to provide Christmas lights in the village.
The grant was proposed by Cllr Cathal Byrne who, along with Enniscorthy District Manager, Ger Mackey, turned on the lights with the assistance of Deputy Paul Kehoe.
Local children also played their part by giving an enthusiastic countdown before the big switch on.
In addition to the lights the village is also now adorned with festive themed figures and animals including reindeer, snowmen, Christmas trees, lollipops, Santa and a large outdoor crib.
