Why are you seeking elective office?
I am seeking this office because I am invested in Newtown Township, and I want to protect the qualities that attracted me here to raise my family 20 years ago. Selfishly, I want my children to want to stay in this township to raise their own families. And, quite frankly, I am tired of complaining about traffic, construction and overdevelopment, and I want to be part of the solution.

ALEXANDRIA, VA Sarah Bagley, an executive director of an affordable housing nonprofit, is one of 13 candidates seeking election to the Alexandria City Council in the 2021 primary.
On June 8, a Democratic primary will be held for Alexandria mayor and City Council, along with statewide races like governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and House of Delegates. Voters will choose up to six candidates in the City Council race, determining who will be on the ballot for the November general election.

Why are you seeking elective office?
Mine has been a lifetime of community service and real world business experience. My intention is to serve all residents of the County and apply a fiscally sound approach and innovative thinking.

Why are you seeking elective office?: As a resident of Phoenixville for over 10 years I have personally witnessed the tremendous growth and progress that has taken place in our community. As I have gotten to know the town and its residents over the past few years I have learned how great of a town and community Phoenixville continues to be. I am running for Borough Council because I would like to get involved with helping this wonderful community continue to grow into a great place to live and work.

Family: My husband James and I bought our first house in Phoenixville 10 years ago. We call this beautiful town our home with our two young children, our almost 5-year-old Nico, and 3-year-old Willa.

Education: I have undergraduate degrees from West Chester University in special education and elementary education. I have also earned a master s degree from WCU in literacy and reading specialist certification.
Occupation: I have had the pleasure of being a teacher since I graduated in 2008. I taught special education at the elementary level and currently teach general education at the elementary level.
