System to give real-time, transparent info on status of bed availability
A covid-19 patient looking for a
hospital bed under government quota will be able to know the status without any hassle as the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (
BBMP) on Thursday rolled out a queue structure on Covid Hospital Bed Management System (CHBMS). The system, touted as detailed and transparent method, will help the patient or the family member to quickly decide whether to wait for a hospital bed under government quota or opt for private admission.
A few weeks back when the country was dealing with the gruesome second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic with hospitals running over-capacity along with massive shortage of health care facilities, medicines and oxygen, many corporates across India pitched in to help in COVID relief efforts.
