There will be a Koreamangala There will be a Koreamangala ByNaveen MenezesNaveen Menezes / Updated: Mar 16, 2021, 12:38 IST With a city-based firm bagging the Rs 179-cr contract to remodel the Koramangala drain, Bengaluru moves closer to having a waterway like Cheonggyecheon in South Korea City-based construction firm Star Infratech has bagged the contract to develop and rejuvenate the Koramangala (K-100) valley between KR Market and Bellandur lake into a ‘Citizens Water Way Project’ for Rs 179.50 crore. The contract also includes the construction of a European-styled pathway, arch bridges and sewage treatment plant (5 MLD). The project is targeted to be ready in the next two years.

On 25 January, the victim was playing outside his house in Lakshmidevinagar in Nandini Layout, when he used the newly-erected transformer for support and was electrocuted. As treatment. the doctors had to amputate one of his hand, and are now considering amputating the other, to save his life.
