City-based construction firm Star Infratech has bagged the contract to develop and rejuvenate the Koramangala (K-100) valley between KR Market and Bellandur lake into a ‘Citizens Water Way Project’ for Rs 179.50 crore. The contract also includes the construction of a European-styled pathway, arch bridges and sewage treatment plant (5 MLD). The project is targeted to be ready in the next two years.

A 12-year-old boy is battling for his life at the Victoria Hospital’s
Burns Ward after he sustained electrical shock injuries from a newly installed transformer. On 25 January, the victim was playing outside his house in Lakshmidevinagar in
Nandini Layout, when he used the newly-erected
transformer for support and was electrocuted. As treatment. the doctors had to amputate one of his hand, and are now considering amputating the other, to save his life.
