The government has planned to focus on many new markets including Central Asian States, Afghanistan, Malaysia, etc, for promoting Pakistan’s exports.
Shehzad Ahmed Khan, Director General, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, expressed these views during his visit to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with Muhammad Ishaq Shinwari, Director TDAP Islamabad.
He also shared the annual business plan of TDAP to promote Pakistan’s trade and exports through various initiatives including holding of single country exhibitions, trade fairs, product shows and seminars/conferences in collaboration with various regional trade bodies.

Islamabad : Islamabad traffic police (ITP) is working on a plan for insertion of traffic rules in the academic syllabus to educate the young generation and ensure a safe road environment as well as a disciplined traffic system in the federal capital.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of road safety quiz competition, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman said the Islamabad police force is in contact with educational institutions to introduce traffic rules in their syllabus.
The quiz competition was arranged by Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) in which students of various educational institutions in the capital participated.

President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan Monday urged the government to focus on promoting the handicraft products of women entrepreneurs that would ensure their economic empowerment, reduce poverty and improve living standards of families in rural and urban areas.
He said that Pakistani women were producing marvellous handicraft products including fabric, material, embroidery, jewellery, carving, mirror work and many other items that needed better exposure in domestic and international markets for enhancing their trade and export, said a press release issued here.
He expressed these views while inaugurating as chief guest the Baji and Co at Concepts Store that brought together versatile products of 40 women crafters on a permanent display under one roof in the federal capital. Islamabad : The three-day Mango Festival, organised at the Centaurus Mall, would literally live in the memories of Islooites for so long, as this brought natural fragrances of hundreds of mango varieties in the capital city from different regions of the country.
The mango festival was visited by people from all walks of life including government ministers, industrialists and ambassadors from different countries, the presence of whom made it a successful and memorable event.
The fair encouraged farmers and exporters and was expected to pave the way for boosting export-quality mango production at a time when the government was seriously introducing policies to enhance exports from the country through various interventions and provision of incentives.
