It is rather comical and logically absurd for anybody to suggest that, somehow, while electoral bribery and corruption run rampantly riotous throughout Fourth-Republican Ghana and has been so since the inception of our present political dispensation, that is, at least since 1992, or thereabouts, nevertheless, one rabid fanatical ideologue of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by the name of Kofi Amenyo, writing from London, UK, most of the time, would have the global Ghanaian community believe that the seduction of voters with such freebies as cash and “essential commodities,” is ultra vires or out of bounds of legal propriety for members and operatives of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) – (See “Amewu’s Hohoe Victory and the Increasing Role of Bribery in Our Elections” Modernghana.com 12/28/20).

According to him, the level of nepotism and thievery happening in his government is nothing to write home about.
Mahama further called on Akufo-Addo to launch investigations into issues of corruption that had emerged under his government.
In a Facebook post, the former president said, I urge President Akufo-Addo to give meaning to his pledge to fight corruption and nepotism by investigating and prosecuting the many allegations made against his appointees.

The Paramount Chief of the Tefle Traditional Area of the Volta Region, Togbe Nakakpo Dugbaza VIII has appealed for the remains of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings to be buried on his (Rawlings ) property at Tefle.
According to him, the former President while he was alive once expressed the desire to be buried at his property at Tefle.
In a statement signed and issued on Thursday, December 17, 2020, which was addressed to the Funeral Committee and Family members, Children and the Widow Nana Konady Agyeman Rawlings, he appealed that the late Ex-President should be buried on his property at Tefle.
