Twitter accounts @POTUS, @WhiteHouse, or the other official presidential handles followers would not be transferred on the day of the inauguration of President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. on January 20, 2021. This is in contrast to when President Trump was inaugurated in January 2017 when the official Twitter accounts were taken over by the Trump administration with their followers intact at the acknowledgment of the outgoing Obama government.
Twitter to Wipe POTUS Account s Followers
According to Joe Biden s presidential campaign digital director on Tuesday, the social media platform company told the Biden team it would be wiping followers from the official POTUS (President of the United States) and White House Twitter handles upon being bequeathed to the incoming administration.
Conspiracy theorists on the Right may be about to reap what they have sewed.

Deficit Hawk Joe Biden Sabotaged Pandemic Relief Efforts
The recent negotiations about a pandemic relief bill are a preview of Joe Biden s presidency.
U.S. President Donald Trump asked for a $2,000 check for every U.S. citizen. Moderates rejected to send checks. Some people on the left and right kept pushing for them.
Trump has privately indicated a willingness to send another round of stimulus checks of as much as $2,000, according to one person in direct communication with the president. Congress in March approved a round of $1,200 stimulus checks that the Treasury Department disbursed to more than 100 million American families in a matter of weeks.

On Monday night, Congress approved one of the largest spending bills in its history, the $2.3 billion Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 (H.R. 133) which included the $900 billion coronavirus relief bill (see related Planetizen posts below).
The larger part of the spending package is a $1.4 trillion omnibus bill based on a 2019 spending deal, which consists of $740.5 billion in defense spending and $664.5 billion for domestic programs, writes Niv Elis for The Hill (source article).
