President Abbas voices concern over Covid-19 crisis in India
RAMALLAH, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday voiced his concern over the Covid-19 crisis in India.
“We are following with great concern the large increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among the friendly people of India,” Abbas stated in a telegram sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“And as we express our solidarity with you in this difficult health situation, we value your Excellency s efforts and that of the Indian health system to combat the spread of this pandemic,” he added.

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday expressed his solidarity with India over the deadly wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
In a telegram to his Indian counterpart Ram Nath Kovind, President Abbas extended his “sincere regards” and expressed his “full solidarity, and that of our people, in the harsh health conditions that the friendly India is going through, as a result of the significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among your people.”
“We are confident in your wisdom to lead your country and your people towards overcoming this ordeal and reaching the safety and security of the friendly Indian people,” he added.
