Colleges and universities across the state are reacting to the improved outlook on the pandemic, preparing for a return by the fall to more in-person instruction and interaction.
However, the institutions caution the plans could change, citing the often unpredictable turns the COVID-19 pandemic has taken.

FAIRBORN Plans are underway at Wright State University to welcome back students, faculty and staff to full in-person classes at the Dayton and Lake campuses this fall.
In an email sent to the campus community on March 10, President Sue Edwards announced that planning has begun to allow a larger percentage of students to have access to in-person classes and increased residence hall capabilities during Fall Semester, which begins Aug. 23.
Wright State also plans to host a number of small-group in-person student orientation activities over the summer and will continue to offer in-person campus tours for future students and their families.

Wright State names Oliver Evans interim provost
FAIRBORN Oliver H. Evans, who has more than 30 years of administrative experience in higher education, has agreed to serve as interim provost of Wright State University, effective Feb. 22.
He will replace interim Provost Douglas Leaman, who will leave Wright State effective Feb. 21 to serve as dean of the College of Sciences at Auburn University at Montgomery.
Given the short timeframe, coupled with the current workload within the Office of Provost, President Sue Edwards said she felt it was necessary to utilize the Registry for College and University Presidents to find an individual with extensive experience as a provost, and in this case, a president, to assist the university in the interim period.
