Mimaropa set to report PRRD accomplishments in Pre-SONA event

QUEZON CITY, May 24 (PIA) Mimaropa is set to underscore on May 25, the nearly six years of developmental milestones of President Rodrigo Duterte s administration in the region.
The Province of Oriental Mindoro will host the regional Pre-SONA dubbed as Pamana sa Pagbabago: Kasama sa Pamana to highlight the accomplishments of the Duterte Administration from infrastructure to the campaign against Covid-19.
The Pre-SONA is facilitated by the Presidential Communications Operations Office in collaboration with the National Economic and Development Authority (Central and Mimaropa regional offices), the Mimaropa Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC), the Province of Oriental Mindoro and City Government of Calapan.

CALOOCAN CITY, May 16 (PIA) Three close contacts of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) infected with the SARS-CoV-2 variant first detected in India also tested positive for the coronavirus, the Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday.
The DOH previously reported that two male OFWs from Oman and the UAE caught the B.1.617 variant.
“As for case number 2, which is the 58-year-old male from UAE, we have 32 verified close contacts in the airplane and three of them are positive for COVID-19,” DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in the Laging Handa public briefing hosted by the Presidential Communications Operations Office.
