Pakistan Foreign Minister Qureshi visits Abu Dhabi s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Wam/Abu Dhabi (Wam) The Pakistani top diplomat joined worshippers in praying for rain in the UAE. Pakistan s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi as part of his official visit to the UAE. He was accompanied by Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan. Qureshi and his delegation, accompanied by Dr Yousef Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, visited the Sheikh Zayed Tomb and took a tour around the mosque. They were briefed about the mosque’s noble message that calls for coexistence, tolerance, and openness to other cultures, inspired by the rich legacy of the nation’s late founder.

Al Sissi welcomed the UAE’s joining the EastMed Gas Forum, as an additional value to the international organisation that includes Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, and Palestine. The international body was established on 16 January 2020, and its headquarters is located in Cairo. The two leaders discussed a number of issues of common interests, with a focus on efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.

Sisi received Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo, along with Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, along with their accompanying delegation, reported the UAE state news agency (WAM).
