QUESTION: Will children under the age of 12 be able to get the COVID vaccine?
DR. MITCHELL: Yes, there are multiple trials for younger children, my older son got vaccinated this week. Most likely it will happen this fall and we will continue to see other vaccines get approvals, but yes, those trials are in place and going well.

THE HARD THING IS FOR KIDS YOUNGER THAN 12, THEY HAVE TO GET A NUMBER OF KIDS IN THE STUDIES TO DECLARE IT IS SAFE. EVEN THOUGH THE VACCINE ROLUT SEEMS EXTREMELY FAST FROM AN OBSERVER POINT OF VIEW, AND TERMS OF STUDIES, THEY HAVE BEEN QUITE CAUTIOUS IN MAKING SURE
