Gov. Kristi Noem got a first-hand look at how South Dakota s first round of COVID-19 vaccines are being administered during a trip to Watertown this week.
But it ll be months before the first-term governor gets a shot of her own.
Following a visit to Prairie Lakes Health on Wednesday, Noem took to social media to praise President Donald Trump for Operation Warp Speed, the initiative launched earlier this year to rush the development of a vaccine to protect the public against the coronavirus that s killed more than 300,000 Americans.
Shortly after, her spokesman Ian Fury told the Argus Leader that the governor intends to receive the vaccination sometime next year.
