Qatar Airways becomes first airline in ME to trial IATA Travel Pass Share Qatar Airways has become the first airline in the Middle East to begin trials of the innovative new IATA Travel Pass ‘Digital Passport’ mobile app, in partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Qatar Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Corporation and Hamad Medical Corporation, starting 11 March 2021. Passengers on the award-winning airline’s Doha to Istanbul route will become the first group to experience the ‘Digital Passport’ app which aims to play an important role in the airline’s vision to have a more contactless, secure and seamless travel experience for its passengers.

The infection has reached to all age groups of the community,” said Dr. Abdulatif Al Khal, Chair of the National Strategic Group on COVID-19 and Head of the Infectious Diseases Division at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC).

HMC official calls on families to support elderly relatives to get COVID-19 vaccine

As Qatar continues to roll out its National COVID-19 Vaccination Program, the country’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) recently announced that more than 327,000 vaccine doses have been administered so far. Dr. Hanadi Al Hamad, National Health Strategy 2018-2022 Lead for Healthy Ageing, has called upon family members to support elderly relatives to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. Al Hamad explained, “Now that we have approved and effective vaccines, elderly people have the opportunity to become protected and live free from the threat of this virus. I ask anyone with elderly relatives who are not yet vaccinated to support your elderly mother, father and loves ones to get vaccinated and get protected. Please ensure they understand that the vaccines are safe, and more than 327,000 doses have been safety administered to the most vulnerable people in Qatar.”

QCS concludes I am and I will campaign - The Peninsula Qatar

QCS concludes ‘I am and I will’ campaign  07 Mar 2021 - 9:33 The Peninsula Doha: Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) has concluded “I am and I will” campaign which was held throughout February to coincide with the occasion of World Cancer Day.  The campaign included many events, awareness competitions, virtual workshops to raise awareness of cancer, methods of prevention, and early detection among the community. The campaign which was launched under the umbrella of Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) that QCS is one of its members, included many events and activities, most notably a motorbike and motorcycle walk at Lusail car in co-operation with Qatar Motorcycle Center and Mawather Center, in addition to a virtual walking challenge, as well as also “I am and I will” competition for schools and universities students in drawing- short story and educational video.
