The Government of Alberta has announced increased supports for sustainable youth mental health hubs in the province.
“Today, I am pleased to announce 7.3 million dollars over three years 3 million of which will be allocated this year to expand mental health hubs across Alberta,” said Mike Ellis, Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions.
The supports are believed to provide easy access for mental health, addiction services, primary health care, social services, housing and school-based supports for youth outside of larger urban centres. Partners include community-based organizations, Alberta Health Services, Primary Care Networks and other community partners, depending on the region.
