Darlington MP Peter Gibson was volunteering at Feethams House on Sunday as part of the effort to vaccinate the town. The programme is being run by Darlington s Primary Care Network, while a team of volunteers is being organised by Darlington Cares to make sure there are help on hand to escort people, guiding them through the building if they need assistance and making sure they leave safely.

A GP surgery is well on the way to meeting its target of vaccinating all patients aged over 70 against Covid-19 by February 15.
Despite the logistical challenges of such a wide-scale programme, The Galletly Practice in Bourne has vaccinated everyone in the top two priority groups.
A handful of patients need to wait a little longer because of their individual circumstances, but this means the team is already ploughing ahead with the over 70s and the clinically vulnerable.
The first clinic at the Galletly Practice
The over 65s will also be contacted shortly to book appointments.

Latest figures show that around 23,000 people who are registered with a Bury GP have now had at least one dose of the potentially life-saving vaccine. The jabs are being carried out at four vaccination centres run by the Primary Care Network: the Elizabethan Suite in Bury, Bealey’s in Radcliffe, Ramsbottom Civic Hall, and Prestwich Walk-in Centre.
