ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday said the present government, keeping in view vital role of agriculture in country’s development and the prosperity of farmers, was committed to develop this sector on priority.
Presiding over the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Agriculture here, he said that agriculture sector was not given any special attention after 1960.
Special Assistants to PM Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Dr. Shehbaz Gill, Member Economc Advisory Council Abid Qayyum Sulehri and senior officers were in attendance.

He also tweeted to condole the passing way of ex-IGP Nasir Durrani. “Saddened to learn of the passing of former IG Police Nasir Durrani. My condolences and prayers go to his family. He was instrumental in reforming KP police when he was the IG. Pakistan has lost an outstanding police officer,” he said.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday directed close monitoring of the prices of essential commodities and their availability during the holy month of Ramazan so that the poor faced no difficulty.
He was chairing a high-level meeting on availability and prices of essential commodities in view of Ramazan. Federal ministers Muhammad Hammad Azhar, Syed Fakhar Imam, Umar Ayub Khan, Special Assistants Dr Sania Nishtar and Dr Shahbaz Gill, secretaries of ministries concerned, chairman FBR, chief commissioner Islamabad and MD Utility Stores Corporation attended the meeting.
