LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday said that Pakistan could only achieve prosperity and economic development by ensuring equitable enforcement of law and providing justice to the masses.
The prime minister, in a meeting with the members of the National Assembly and Punjab provincial assembly here during his visit, said the South Punjab region lagged behind in development owing to unjust distribution of resources in the past.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday was informed that as per his vision and instructions on standardisation of building codes, standards and specifications for low cost housing, the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has developed the first-ever National Standard Specifications (NSS) based on Building Code of Pakistan.
To this effect, the prime minister chaired a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Housing, Construction and Development, which was informed that the comprehensive standardisation code has been developed in consultation with stakeholders in record time of only four months. It was informed that the document has a consensus of the provinces also.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday said a high-level inquiry had been ordered against the Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia, which used to extort money from labourers and the ambassador was being probed and those responsible will be given an exemplary punishment.
The prime minister said overseas Pakistanis had saved the economy of this country but it was unfortunate to say that our embassies were not treating these hard working people well.
“These are very special people. We can’t give them jobs here, which is why they are forced to work away from their families,” he said.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday rejected outright the allegations of former DG Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Bashir Memon as baseless and said he did not call for investigation against anyone except the PMLN leader Khawaja Asif.
He said this during an interaction with senior journalists and anchorpersons here. Imran refuted Memon’s allegations and also spoke on other national matters.
Various issues facing the country as well as Memon’s allegations came under discussion. “It was not Bashir Memon s job to file the reference, so why ask him?”
