Officials thwart attempt to smuggle Lyrica pills into Qatar 25 Feb 2021 - 12:32 The Peninsula Online Doha: Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs Department thwarted an attempt to smuggle Lyrica pills into the country. The department said that an attempt to smuggle 6,868 Lyrica pills were foiled, after an employee suspected the contents of a cargo. The banned pills were found hidden inside a women s clothing parcel and tightly wrapped to avoid detection by X-Ray scanners, said the authorities in a tweet. The authority has been issuing a continuous warning to those attempting to carry illegal substances into the country. Customs officials in the country are provided all means of support including developed means of systems and continuous training.

Qatar- Customs foils attempt to smuggle Captagon pills

(MENAFN - Gulf Times) The Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs Department foiled yet another attempt to smuggle Captagon pills to Qatar. This was informed by the General Authority of Customs (GAC) through Twitter. GAC said that the attempt was to smuggle 50 pills and they were recovered after checks were carried following an employee at the Postal Despatches Department (Express Mail Customs) suspected the contents of a parcel.
