Enforce laws to end gender based violence: speakers

Lahore March 6, 2021 LAHORE:Speakers at a seminar have called upon the need to create awareness among the public at large and enforcement of relevant laws in the country for elimination of gender-based violence to help build a strong and healthy society. PU announces scholarships for Tajik students National March 4, 2021 LAHORE: Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad has announced scholarships for the students of Tajikistan who would seek admissions at PU from fall 2021 as a part of efforts to bring two nations together. He was talking to Tajikistan’s Ambassador Ismatullo Nasredin at the VC office here on Wednesday. Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar, Regional Integration Centre Director Dr Fauzia Hadi Ali, Centre for Global and Strategic Studies Executive Director Khalid Taimur and others were present. Addressing the launching ceremony of hepatitis and drug-free universities programme at Punjab University’s Al Raazi Hall here Thursday, he said it was a matter of serious nature that without knowing the exact statistics, it could not be possible to develop a comprehensive plan or strategy to cope with the issue.
