Mundy dominates another Rayburn event
Sunday, January 31, 2021
Derek Mundy of Broaddus, Texas brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 18-07 to win the three-day Toyota Series event at Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Brookeland, Texas. Mundys three-day total of 70-11 earned him the win by a 14-pound margin over second-place Jason Bonds of Lufkin, Texas and earned Mundy the top payout of $44,150 in the first tournament of the 2021 Southwestern Division.
Mundy started off the year by crushing a 40-10 bag with an 11-10 kicker to win a BFL event on Sam Rayburn just a few weeks ago. In just under a month, Mundy became the only angler alive with two of the Top 10 biggest single-day weights in MLF history he boxed 39-07 on day 2.

David Dudley says he s in his best physical condition since high school thanks to a diet and exercise regimen he began after suffering through a bout with COVID-19 and being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
By John Johnson
BassFan Senior Editor David Dudley had a pretty good debut season on the MLF Bass Pro Tour, finishing 21st in the points race and never ending up outside the Top 40 in any of the five events. His offseason, though, was extremely rough.
The four-time FLW Tour Angler of the Year and former No. 1-ranked competitor in the BassFan World Rankings went through a difficult battle with COVID-19 in the fall and, during that process, was diagnosed with severe type 2 diabetes. The 45-year-old now calls the whole ordeal a forced wake-up call that I ve taken very seriously.
Ike Foundation sets telethon for Sunday
Wednesday, January 27, 2021
The Ike Foundation announced that Mike Iaconelli and crew will host a fundraising telethon Sunday (Jan. 31) at 6 p.m. EST.
The Foundation hosts several fundraising events each year to support efforts to get more kids fishing and to provide college scholarships to qualified high school seniors. COVID-19 restrictions forced the restructuring of those events for all of 2020, as well as the cancellation of the 2021 Scholarship Dinner. That event alone hosts more than 300 supporters and raises over $25,000 for college scholarships.
Supporters can join the telethon remotely via Facebook or Instagram Live for four hours of laughs, live music, conversations with bass fishing legends, pro athletes and surprise guests. Donations can be made at The Ike Foundation website.
