Les Lankhorst is determined not to have a “Blue Christmas” this year unless he’s singing it.
Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has not allowed Lankhorst, a professional singer who has performed on concert stages throughout the world, to ply his trade in front of live audiences for more than nine months, he was not going to let it stop him from staging his signature Christmas concert in Salina.
For more than a decade, Lankhorst has performed a holiday concert in Salina and the surrounding area, singing a variety of holiday classics in the style of his idols Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin in front of a live band of area musicians.
