In a
housing society in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Ravet has been arrested by
Dehu Road police for allegedly molesting a sevenyear-old girl residing in the same residential complex. According to the police, Baburao Vane the accused forcefully took the minor to his quarter and misbehaved with her. The child’s mother, complainant in the case, caught Vane red-handed, following which other residents gathered at the crime spot and beat up Vane and handed him over to the cops.
The incident took place on the society premises around 11.30 am on Saturday, informed police personnel, adding that Vane tried to flee from the spot after being exposed but failed to do so, thanks to the alert denizens.

With this observation, the court acquitted an electrician in a case pertaining to the sexual abuse of a five-year-old girl.
The court, however, found the electrician guilty of molesting the mother of the minor girl.
Mumbai: A special court here on Tuesday held that touching the cheeks of a child without sexual intent does not amount an offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and acquitted a 29-year-old electrician in a case pertaining to the sexual abuse of a five-year-old girl.

VARANASI: Ballia police arrested a youth and his father on Tuesday for rape of a minor girl and pressing for unlawful religious conversion.
The youth, resident of a village in Ballia, entered the house of the 14-year-old girl when she was alone and raped her.
He also made a video of the incident which he later showed to the girl to blackmail and force her into having a sexual relationship.
The girl’s father alleged when he requested the father of the accused to tell his son to delete the video, he instead advised conversion and said that either his son or he himself would marry the girl after it.
