Kimberly Paxton-Hagner, co-owner of Kwik Lok Corp. based in Yakima, WA, has been elected to the role of board chair for the company. Kwik Lok is a global company that was founded by Paxton-Hagner’s grandfather, Floyd Paxton, and has been run by her family for three generations. Paxton-Hagner assumed the role as chairperson at the company’s recent board meeting on April 1.
Paxton-Hagner succeeds John Rothenbueler as chairperson upon his retirement. Rothenbueler guided the company through the transition from the second to the third generation of ownership. Kwik Lok is now owned by sisters Kimberly Paxton-Hagner, Melissa Steiner and Stephanie Jackson.

G&R Farms has redesigned its Vidalia onion bag, box and bin packaging in keeping with the company’s new brand image. The consumer-friendly design includes new photography showcasing the third-generation family farm along with their Grown with Passion, Served with Pride tagline. The organization is a leader in providing year-round sweet onions from Georgia and Peru.
“We’re proud of our roots and our long history with sweet onions,” said Walt Dasher, vice president of G&R Farms. “My grandfather, Walter L. Dasher, was one of the pioneers who helped put Vidalia onions on the map as a widely popular brand. The new look has provided us with an opportunity to tell our story especially on our new Vidalia bag packaging.”

Church Bros. Farms developed a new clamshell for its Little Gem lettuce that protects and showcases the premium variety at retail.
The new patent pending four-count clamshell is designed to protect the unique properties of the compact-sized lettuce while providing more product visibility on shelf. The package is stackable for multiple retail merchandising options and is 100 percent recyclable with more than 70 percent post-consumer material. Shoppers can easily open and reclose the clamshell for convenient use and storage at home.
Church Brothers Farms utilizes a special variety of Little Gems and each head is hand trimmed to deliver the most tender and sweet lettuce. Little Gems are a cross between the crunchy texture of Romaine and the softer frilly texture of butter lettuce. The sweet and mild flavor can be used in a wide variety dishes, especially those with bold ingredients and flavors.
