The Grade 3 French Immersion students at Brockville’s Westminster Public School placed third in their category in the CBC 2020 Music Class Challenge, the public school board reported Friday.

Every fall, CBC Music and MusiCounts (a music education charity affiliated with the Juno Awards) holds the nationwide contest aimed at engaging students with Canadian music and providing opportunities for students to showcase their talent.
The Westminster students chose the song “Seed In The Ground,” by Canadian singer/songwriter Connie Kaldor.
