Beuran Hendricks recalled, injured Migael Pretorius released from Proteas bubble

Uncapped Knights paceman Migael Pretorius has been released from the Proteas’ Bio-Secure Environment (BSE) after suffering a muscle injury to his right shoulder, Cricket South Africa (CSA) confirmed. The 25-year-old from Vereeniging, who has had an exceptional season so far in the CSA 4-Day Series, will return to his franchise to complete his rehabilitation. Pretorius had been named in the Proteas squad to face Sri Lanka in the two Boxing Day and New Year’s Tests in Centurion and Johannesburg after being the leading wicket taker in First Class cricket this season with 19 wickets. Beuran Hendricks, whose only Test cap came in South Africa’s defeat to England at the Wanderers last January, has been recalled to the national team.
