PM Modi To Interact With Farmers From Six States On 25 December, To Release Rs 18,000 Crore To PM-KISAN Beneficiaries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the next instalment of financial benefit under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) on 25th December 2020 at 12 noon via video conferencing, said an official release on Wednesday (23 December).
With the push of a button, the Prime Minister will enable the transfer of more than Rs 18,000 crores to more than 9 crores beneficiary farmer families, the release said.
PM Modi will also have a conversation with farmers from six different states during the event. The farmers will share their experiences with PM-KISAN and also on various other initiatives taken by the government for the welfare of farmers.

New Delhi [India], December 22 (ANI): Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday said the three farm acts brought by the central government are the biggest agricultural reforms in the country so far which will benefit farmers and strengthen Indian agriculture which is the backbone of the Indian economy.
The Minister made the remarks while interacting with members of the international media from the Foreign Correspondents Club of South Asia, a group of more than 500 journalists and photographers covering India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Afghanistan and Tibet.
