The minister further said that the department of higher education has proposed to have a modified National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) for the period from 2021-2022 to 2025-26. “The revised scheme is going to include apprenticeship training of graduate, technician and degree apprentices,” he said.
Skills development minister Mahendra Nath Pandey on Monday said the government proposes to amend the Apprentices Act, 1961 with a view to further enhancing apprenticeship opportunities for the youth.
“The government is presently in consultation with various stakeholders following which the draft amendments would be finalized,” he said in response to a question in Lok Sabha.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna 3.0: Target to train eight lakh youth

New Delhi, Mar 02: Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a scheme of the Government of India, which was launched in July 2015. The objective of this scheme is to provide employment by training people who are less educated or who have dropped out of school.
This scheme is for three months, six months and one year. After completing the course, a certificate is given, which is valid in the whole country.
Under the Prime Minister s Skill Development Scheme, a target has been set to train around 40 crore people in the country by 2022. There is also a facility to get a loan for self-employment after training.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has identified 343 job roles for improved training in the third phase of its flagship Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Union minister Mahendra Nath Pandey said.
In an exclusive interview to ThePrint, the skill development minister noted the highlights of the latest phase of the Narendra Modi governmentâs skill training scheme.
âThese job roles are not new but after much assessment and study of the marketâs demand post-Covid, these job roles will help get immediate jobs for those skilled,â the minister said.
The minister also spoke about the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, pointing out that the state police is doing a fair job.
