New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT to extend insurance coverage to all the residents of the Jammu & Kashmir on December 26, 2020 at 12 noon via video conferencing.
The scheme will ensure universal health coverage and focus on providing financial risk protection and ensuring quality and affordable essential health services to all individuals and communities, said Prime Minister s Office (PMO) in a statement on Thursday.

Ahmedabad: Nitin Patel, Deputy CM announced yesterday about the launch of Deendayal Clinics in slum areas of urban and semi-urban areas of Gujarat. The scheme was ignored for over six months due to Covid.
Directions have been provided to all the civic bodies to identify areas where such clinics can be put up, according to Patel. The scheme was announced in Gujarat budget of 2020-21. Patel told in his budget speech, “I announce the scheme of starting one Urban Health Centre each for a population of 10,000. Various health care services will be provided at this centre through an MBBS or AYUSH doctor.”
Ayushman Bharat completely revolutionised healthcare delivery system, says Health Minister @DrHVoffice Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has said that the Ayushman Bharat programme has completely revolutionized primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare systems in the country, with a strong focus on preventive healthcare.
Chairing an event to mark the Universal Health Coverage Day, he said, through the two wings of Ayushman Bharat - the Health and Wellness Centres and the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana, the government has been making quality healthcare affordable and accessible for crores of people in the country. He said that over one crore 45 lakh cashless treatments have been provided to the poorest citizens under Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana. Dr Harsh Vardhan said, COVID-19 has greatly magnified the need for building resilient health care systems and ensuring their equitable access to all.
